1w Team have secured their place in the playoffs of The International 2026 after defeating GamerLegion 2–0 in the elimination round. The result brings an end to GamerLegion’s run at TI15, while 1w Team move on to the final stage of the tournament and remain in contention for the Aegis of Champions.

The series was played as a best-of-three, with 1w Team taking control of both games and leaving their opponents no room for a comeback. GamerLegion had already survived several difficult matches during the group stage, including a 2–0 victory over OG, but their TI 2026 campaign ultimately came to an end against the Eastern European squad.

For 1w Team, the victory represents another important step in what has been a challenging tournament. The team, also known as Iron Wing, entered the elimination stage with a 3–2 record and selected GamerLegion as their opponent. The decision paid off as 1w Team completed the series without dropping a single map.

With the win, Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko and his teammates have earned a spot among the eight teams that will compete in the main playoff stage. Their exact first-round opponent has not yet been determined, as the remaining elimination matches still need to be completed.

One of the final elimination series will feature Team Yandex against LGD Gaming. The outcome of that match will determine the last team to join the playoff bracket.

The International 2026 is taking place in Shanghai, China, from August 13 to 23. The tournament features 16 teams competing for the Aegis of Champions, with the playoff stage scheduled to take place at the Oriental Sports Center.

The event’s prize pool is currently worth around $3 million, with additional revenue continuing to be generated through the sale of team and caster bundles. As the tournament progresses toward its decisive stage, the remaining teams will be fighting not only for a share of the prize money but also for the most prestigious trophy in competitive Dota 2.

For GamerLegion, the 0–2 defeat marks the end of their TI15 journey. Despite falling short of the playoffs, the North American representatives managed to make it through the elimination phase of the tournament and produced several notable results along the way.

Meanwhile, 1w Team can now turn their attention to the playoffs. With the group stage and elimination round behind them, the team will have another opportunity to prove themselves against the strongest remaining contenders for the Aegis.
