Team Spirit are officially the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 champions after defeating FUT Esports 3-1 in the grand final. The best-of-five series concluded on Sunday, August 23, with Spirit recovering from an opening-map loss to secure one of the biggest trophies of the season.

The victory earned Team Spirit $600,000 in prize money, while runners-up FUT Esports received $340,000.

Grand Final Results

The series began on Cache, where FUT took an early lead by claiming the map 13-10. Spirit quickly responded on Anubis, edging out a tightly contested overtime victory 16-13 to level the score.

Another close battle followed on Ancient, with Spirit once again coming out on top 16-14, putting themselves one map away from the championship.

The deciding map, Nuke, was entirely controlled by Team Spirit. Led by another outstanding performance from donk, Spirit dominated the server and closed out the series with a convincing 13-5 victory.

donk Leads Spirit Once Again

As has been the case throughout the season, donk was the driving force behind Team Spirit's success. The superstar rifler finished the grand final with 88 kills, 91.9 ADR, and a 1.36 rating, making him the highest-rated player of the series.
